Empowering Youth for Inclusion: The Launch of EmPATHy

On the 7th of November 2022 , a group of Japanese university students and youth refugees living in Japan announced the launch of a new platform called "EmPATHy". The initiative aims to promote an inclusive society in Japan by bringing together the voices and actions of the youth generation.

To celebrate the launch, an unveiling party was held where presentations were made on the principles and activities of the group. The speakers highlighted the importance of youth involvement in creating a more inclusive society, and shared their thoughts on how to achieve this goal.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr. Grandi, also spoke at the event and encouraged the youth to use their unique strengths to communicate the current state of the world and expand support for refugees in Japan. He said, "I want you to use your own words and actions to make the most of your youth strengths, communicate the current state of the world, and expand the circle of support for refugees from Japan."

The launch of EmPATHy is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive society in Japan, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact that this platform will have on the lives of youth refugees.
